Tracy Kuniega-Pietrzak, M.D., serves as the Director of Eating Disorder Services at Rittenhouse Psychiatric Associates and is board-certified in both Child & Adolescent Psychiatry and Adult Psychiatry. She has extensive experience treating children, adolescents and adults with all types of psychiatric conditions, which include eating disorders, anxiety, depression, OCD, bipolar disorder and PTSD. Dr. Kuniega graduated from the University of Scranton with a B.S. in Biology and received her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Maryland. She went on to complete her adult psychiatry residency and her child and adolescent fellowship at Warren Albert Medical School of Brown University. While at Brown, Dr. Kuniega was Chief Resident and earned the distinction of Haffenreffer Fellow in Medical Sciences in the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Program. During her training she conducted and later published research on body image in patients with Body Dysmorphic Disorder and participated in the Pediatric OCD Treatment Study II (POTS II).
After her fellowship, Dr. Kuniega joined the Center for Eating Disorders at Sheppard Pratt and for over ten years worked as an attending psychiatrist on the inpatient and partial hospitalization programs. During that time, she also served as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, supervising medical students and residents. Dr. Kuniega later focused on providing outpatient psychiatric care, and most recently served as the Medical Director of Outpatient Clinics at Eating Recovery Center and Pathlight Mood and Anxiety Center. Dr. Kuniega is a fellow in the American Psychiatric Association and member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. For several years, she was recognized as a Top Doctor by Baltimore Magazine. Dr. Kuniega offers psychiatric evaluations, consultations, and medication management for children, adolescents and adults via telemedicine or in-person appointments at our Baltimore, MD, office. She holds active medical licenses in MD, DC, PA, DE, NJ, NY, FL and CA.
